Monument Bank follows strict privacy procedures with regard to protecting your personal information. In addition, the Bank requires all third parties with a business need to access such information to adhere to similar and equally stringent privacy policies.
Online Security Information
Security is very important to Monument Bank and we employ state-of-the-art technology to protect financial information for the bank and our customers. When you sign on to Online Banking , the Digital ID from VeriSign, authenticates the user’s identity and a secure session is established using a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. Entry to Online banking is password controlled and only authorized users can log onto the Internet Banking system. If the password is entered unsuccessfully three times for Consumer Online Banking and five times for Business Online Banking, the account is locked. In addition, information is filtered through routers and firewalls before they reach the server further securing data transmission.
Monument Bank does not collect any personal information from persons who are browsing our website. However, personal information may be requested if the visitor chooses to use the email function to contact us, uses any of the financial tools available, or uses our online banking products. Our website contains a “Contact Us” form that is sent to Monument Bank. This form that may contain information such as your name, address and telephone number and is sent through the submission of encrypted email requests to the Bank’s secure administration site. Notifications are immediately sent to approved Bank personnel alerting them to the receipt of your request. This procedure allows Monument Bank to respond to your request in a timely manner.
Employing stringent security measures in the collection of your personal information, all Monument Bank online account applications are submitted to the Bank’s secure administration site through an encrypted direct line to the Bank. Once received by the Bank, only authorized personnel may open and process the application.
Maintenance of Accurate Information
It is in the best interest of both you and the Bank to maintain accurate records concerning your personal information. Therefore, Monument Bank may allow you to update your personal information online, at anytime, through the submission of encrypted email requests sent to the Bank’s secure administration site. Notifications are immediately sent to approved Bank personnel alerting them to the receipt of your request. This procedure allows Monument Bank to update your personal information in a timely manner.
